Terms of Service

Last Updated: 14 July 2026

These Terms of Service govern the relationship between Howutu Tiyaxu ("the Service Provider") and clients who engage resume writing, LinkedIn profile writing, or related professional document services through howutu-tiyaxu.info or by direct contact. By scheduling an intake call, making a payment, or otherwise engaging the Service Provider, you agree to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable federal law.

A
Scope of Services

The Service Provider writes resume documents and LinkedIn profile content. No employment outcome is implied or promised.

Howutu Tiyaxu provides professional document writing services including resume writing, LinkedIn profile writing, and combined packages as described on the Packages page. Services are limited to the creation of written documents based on information provided by the client during the intake call and any subsequent written communications.

The Service Provider does not provide career counseling, job placement services, interview coaching, job search strategy, or employment advice. The service is limited to written document production. The Service Provider does not submit applications on behalf of clients, contact employers, or act as an agent of the client in any employment-related matter.

The specific scope of each engagement is confirmed at the time of package selection and payment. Changes to scope after payment may be subject to additional fees, which will be communicated before any additional work begins.

B
Intake Call and Client Responsibilities

The intake call is required. The quality of documents depends on the accuracy of information provided by the client.

The intake call is a required part of every package. Writing does not begin until the intake call has been completed. The client is responsible for attending the scheduled call at the agreed time. If the client misses a scheduled call without prior notice, the appointment will need to be rescheduled and may be subject to a delay in the project timeline.

The client is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information during the intake call and throughout the project. The Service Provider relies on client-provided information to write documents. The Service Provider does not independently verify employment history, credentials, or any other information provided by the client. The client bears full responsibility for the accuracy of information included in their documents.

The client agrees not to request the inclusion of false, misleading, or fabricated information in any document produced by the Service Provider.

C
Payment Terms

Payment is required before writing begins. Payment terms are confirmed at booking.

The Service Provider requires payment in full before writing commences. Payment terms, accepted methods, and amounts are communicated at the time of package confirmation following the intake call. The intake call itself does not require payment.

All fees are stated in US dollars. Payment constitutes agreement to these Terms of Service and to the specific scope confirmed at the time of payment.

Invoices and payment confirmations are provided by email. The client should retain these records for their own reference.

D
Delivery and Turnaround

Turnaround time is confirmed at booking. The clock starts after payment is received.

The estimated turnaround time is communicated to the client before or at the time of payment. The turnaround clock begins when payment is received and confirmed, not when the intake call takes place.

Turnaround times are estimates based on current workload and project scope. The Service Provider will communicate promptly if circumstances require an adjustment to the estimated delivery date. The client will be notified before the original estimated date if a delay is anticipated.

Documents are delivered electronically in an editable format. The delivery method is confirmed at the time of package selection.

E
Revision Policy

One revision round is included. It covers the full document. Additional revisions are outside the included scope.

Each package includes one complete revision round. The revision round is initiated when the client submits written feedback on the draft document. The Service Provider will apply the feedback and return the revised document within the same turnaround window used for the initial draft.

The revision round covers the full document including content, phrasing, structure, tone, and formatting. It is not limited to minor corrections. However, the revision round does not constitute a new project. If the client requests changes that fall outside the scope of the original package or that require gathering substantially new information, those changes may be treated as a new engagement.

The revision round does not expire. Clients may take as long as needed to review the draft before submitting feedback. However, the revision round must be used within 12 months of the initial draft delivery date, after which the included revision is considered expired.

Additional revision rounds beyond the included one are available at a fee to be communicated at the time of the request.

F
Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on the stage of the project at the time of cancellation request.

If a client cancels after payment but before the intake call, a full refund is available. If a client cancels after the intake call but before the draft is delivered, a partial refund may be available at the discretion of the Service Provider, reflecting work already completed.

No refund is available after the draft document has been delivered. The delivery of the draft constitutes completion of the primary service obligation.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 10 business days of the approved request.

G
Intellectual Property and Document Ownership

The client owns the final documents. The Service Provider retains no rights over delivered work.

Upon delivery of the final document and receipt of full payment, all rights to the written document transfer to the client. The client may use, modify, reproduce, and distribute the document for personal professional purposes without restriction.

The Service Provider retains no ongoing rights over the delivered documents. The Service Provider may not use, publish, or share the content of client documents without explicit written consent from the client.

The website content, branding, and structural elements of howutu-tiyaxu.info remain the property of Howutu Tiyaxu and may not be reproduced without permission.

H
Limitation of Liability

The Service Provider's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

The Service Provider's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the services shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific package in question. The Service Provider is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to lost employment opportunities, lost income, or career outcomes of any kind.

The Service Provider provides professional document writing services and makes no representation about employment outcomes. The effectiveness of a resume or LinkedIn profile in securing employment depends on factors entirely outside the Service Provider's control, including hiring practices, market conditions, and the client's own qualifications.

I
Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Pennsylvania law. Disputes are resolved in Philadelphia County courts.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication. The party raising the dispute should contact the other party in writing and allow 30 days for a good-faith response.

J
Modifications to Terms

Terms may be updated. The version in effect at the time of payment governs the engagement.

Howutu Tiyaxu reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. The version of the Terms in effect at the time the client makes payment governs that specific engagement. Updated terms apply to new engagements initiated after the update date. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Questions about these Terms of Service should be directed to [email protected] or by calling +1 610-449-0600.
