Book Your Intake Call
Schedule
The intake call is the first step in every project. No writing begins before the call. Use the information below to get in touch and arrange a time.
How to schedule
Intake calls are scheduled by phone or email. There is no online booking system. Contact the office directly to check availability and confirm a time that works for your schedule and time zone.
Availability
Calls can be scheduled across Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones. The time shown above is the office operating time. Your call can be scheduled at a time that works in your local time zone.
What to have ready before the call
The intake call is most productive when you have a general sense of the following. You do not need to prepare a formal document. The call is a conversation.
-
1Your employment history before the gap
Job titles, employers, and approximate dates. You do not need exact dates for every role.
-
2The gap period
What you were doing, what you are comfortable disclosing, and any skills or activities during that time that may be relevant.
-
3Target roles or industries
The types of positions you are now looking for. Specific job titles or general areas both work.
-
4Package preference
Whether you need a resume, LinkedIn, or both. This can also be decided during the call.
The intake call is not a sales call. It is a working conversation that produces the information used to write your documents. The writer on the call is the same person who writes your resume or profile.
